New theme has needlessly much padding

I know it's all a matter of taste, but liked the old theme much better. Besides the nicer colours and nice grey/white alternating rows, there's too much padding now. I suppose it's nicer on a touch interface, but that's not how I use the website...

Anyway, just wanted to state this. Now that you know, feel free to close with "will not fix". :)

Oh, just to add: the indicator of projects with unfinished blocks used to be a yellow background. Nice and obvious, the new little dot is easily overlooked.

I can change the dot's size and placement - right now it breaks the regular shape of project link, so I thought it would be fine, but I can see how it may be too small. Wrt yellow background, I did see reports from people having issues differentiating the yellow color. It had low contrast and wasn't very accessible IMO.

The general overhaul came because of an update from Bootstrap 3 to Bootstrap 5. This was required because Bootstrap 3 is EOL. Good news is that Bootstrap 5 is much more flexible, so the padding can be tweaked. Give me a list of specific problems and I'll see what can be done about them :)

Never had an issue with the yellow background indicating unfinished projects. Maybe we could have the new shape thing (maybe bigger) and additionally keep the highlighted background.

I'm not too sure about smaller font. I agree there could be less padding and will change that where appropriate.
Haiku theme is another thing entirely :)

Missing alternating background appears to be a Web+ bug. Worked with the old Polyglot site...

Wrt striped tables, I tried to make a quick fix by adding a rule from Bootstrap 3, but that didn't work. The issue is that Bootstrap 5 uses box-shadow CSS property to color the background and shadows are not implemented in Web+. Since I was interested in the topic before I've decided to look into it, and I made tables striped in Web+ with relatively little effort, but everything else looks pretty bad now (translucent rectangles everywhere). However, I'm making progress...
