Example not working, regression in MAUI?

Hi,

I came across your repository while searching the web for MAUI and menu bars on Mac Catalyst and I really took some time to look into it.

While I have a working example on Windows (not by using your application but another one), I cannot get it to work on Mac Catalyst.
I tried your default implementation for net8.0-maccatalyst but I simply do not see the menu bar items that are supposed to be there. Also changing to net9.0-maccatalyst does not do the trick.

I wonder whether your example is broken, .NET/MAUI is broken (regression) or if something is missing that (for some reason) has to be implemented to make it work nowadays.

I'd appreciate if you could give it another try, clone, build and check if the menu bar is there. I am on Mac Sequoia 15.3.
