My bad, We can't use codeassist as any of available codeassist flavour don't support kotlin dsl.. they all support groovy DSL. Sorry for waste everybody's time |

TL;DR: Make it easier for developers to come and contribute (Code-assist IDE)Backstory
Backstory (click to read)
Back in a year,
passcodesdevelopment was initially started with a project in Deenu488/CodeAssist-Unofficial app. We (@JeelDobariya38 & @kudanilll) continue the development of passcodes, which was calledpassword-managerback then... But, later as developer, we move towards better tools (in our opinion) like vscode and then to Android studio.. As the project scaled..Recently in #11, we break (so to speak didn't able to continue) compatibility with code assist.. here, is summary of what happened.. I migrate project build system, such that it will use
build variantrather thanproduct flavour.. because for what app is try to do, build variant was more initiative.. rather then a whole seperate product dimensions & product flavour.. whatsoever, I figure out that the error was cause, due to the use of manifest placeholder... we use manifest placeholder in passcodes. while Code-assist seem to (not sure) not support them...Problem Overview
Okay, apart from all this story, I personally think that make my project compatibilite with code assist (or with any other android based android IDE) will allow more people to come and contribute to project... It more convient when you can clone repo and see code on your phone anywhere.. atleast for me.. So, I am planning (looking forward) to add support for Android Based IDE.
Important
The passcodes app development will be officially continue on
Android Studio | Vscode. But this android based IDE will have support. So, that I or any other collaborator can do work remotely..I am more lean to add support for especially Code-assist as that the app we started passcodes with... But, I am looking forward to hear from community & potential collobrators.
Solutions
This are the solution that seems to be good for me.. Please be sure that, This solution are abstract and I haven't think, how to implement them.
Make a Work-Around (Developer Assist).
We can try something like, have a seperate files;
AndroidManifest.xml&app/build.ktsfor Code-assist such that It will not have use manifest placeholder.. and then we can remove this files from git tracking... and I think this will work conceptually, but will hard to do.. also will require heavy developer coordination (assistance).. for more information please ask me in this chat...Find a maintained Code-Assist Repository.
edit;
look here:- #40 (comment)
The more better solution, will be to have find a Code-Assist app (maintained repository). and use it for project. but, here are some constraints we will need a take a look at.
I see Wadamzmail/CodeAssist-Unofficial as a potential candidate.
Thanks You
A great thanks to team of Code-Assist for developing, such a nice IDE and Community it because of them this was possible, Code assist was really a place, I start passcodes development at.
Especially thanks to @tyron12233, @Deenu488.. also @Wadamzmail
