Currently I miss documentation how to read the results.

I see the new directory sono-result. But how to read it?

The individual test scripts (including the one that runs sonobuoy) are supposed to print all relevant results to stdout and stderr. The main script will give you a summary result, and it can (upon request) generate a report in yaml format (-o REPORT_PATH) or reproduce stdout and stderr on the console (I think it needs -v twice for that).

If the output is not sufficient from your POV, we should probably improve it. I have no expertise in sonobuoy, so this would be a matter of "research".
