ROG Ally X Controls not recognized on startup

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When starting device and booting into SteamOS, ROG Ally X controls are not being recognized. Touch screen is the only input that is being recognized when this happens. Reboot is the only way to get the controls back.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Turn on device
2. Attempt to use controls
3. controls are non responsive
