GRUB disappearing after Windows updates is the #1 help request from new dual-boot users.

Current Reality:

• Windows updates overwrite the bootloader
• Linux partition becomes inaccessible
• Fix requires advanced CLI knowledge
• Many users give up and reinstall Windows

Solution

Build a boot repair wizard that:

1. Detects boot state (GRUB present, Windows-only, broken)
2. Finds Linux partitions automatically
3. Repairs GRUB with single command
4. Validates boot entries after repair
5. Works from live USB or installed system

@Anshgrover23 actually i dont but i did some research about this issue and i have ubuntu installed on my local machine so i thought i could work with that. am i correct or i must need a proper dual-boot system to work on this ?

@Kesavaraja67 For this issue, verification on an actual Windows + Linux dual-boot setup is required.

If you can reliably reproduce and validate a real dual-boot scenario inside a VM, that’s acceptable as well. Initial development can be done there, but before merge we’ll need clear proof that it works in a true dual-boot environment.

If you’re comfortable committing to that level of testing, you can proceed.
