Page was not helpful for a specific context. DevTools in Android Studio reported some jank. the message linked to this page to learn how to precompile shaders. but there are no mention of that on this page.

Expected fix

The error is probably in DevTools (Performance) in Android Studio not pointing to the correct page.

Here is my Dev tools screen

In the Red box is an error that mentions Jank and that points to this page.

The message implies that this page has instructions on pre-compiled shaders, which it appears to not have.,

It looks like the page we are linking to used to have information about how to precompile the shaders, but it was deleted in flutter/website#11520.

I don't see any information on the website about how to precompile shaders (though the top search result for "precompile shaders flutter" links to a Medium post that links to the same website page as we are in DevTools).

I'm going to move this back to the website repo for guidance.

@yjbanov, @kenzieschmoll: DevTools in Android Studio point to docs on our site that were obsolete and have been removed (the PR is listed above). Who can help us with the correct solution for this PR, now that Jonah and Chinmay aren't around?

OK, I just spoke to Chinmay. He says that shaders no longer need precompiling and that all references to precompiling shaders should be removed. That means that the tooling here needs updating. Moving back to the flutter repo.
