I am a bit concerned that the URL changed. We have this in the webguide to tell everyone to use it then the owner of it just up and changes it. Seems like the owner of privacy.ucsb.edu needs to know that and not change it and should reinstate the old URL since now it could be broken for 100s of sites.

Thank you Gary! I think we should :
Add a permanent (301) redirect for http and https from
https://www.policy.ucsb.edu/privacy-notification/
to
https://www.privacy.ucsb.edu/information-privacy/website-privacy
so that legacy UCSB sites and external references do not encounter a broken link.

Keep a simple fallback page at the old URL (if redirecting isn’t immediately possible) that:

• States the page has moved
• Includes a direct link to the new privacy page
