Heyy, Obay here 👋

I’m a software engineer who likes building projects, from web apps to AI and data science. I’m big on personal projects, especially tools that solve real problems (or at least make life easier).

My journey

  • 2019: Started coding with HTML/CSS
  • 2020: Built my first Python app
  • 2023: 3 years of practicing Python + web dev and building projects for fun
    • Joined DECI (Level 3)
  • 2024:
    • Posted my first data science project on Kaggle (37+ upvotes)
    • AWS AI/ML Scholarship: learned strong ML/DL foundations (see the LinkedIn post)
    • Headstarter Fellowship: built 5+ projects and collaborated with worldwide teams
    • NASA Space Apps: global nominee using this project
  • 2025
    • ISEF National Finalist: AI project/research to help blind people
    • Novomind Internship (paid): team experience + production-level apps and used Java and Vue js
    • SIC: I got hands-on AI training, learned a lot of ML/DL and built 3+ projects with college teams
    • Daydream Tanta Organized daydream tanta in partnership with hackclub with over 40+ attendes and 100% submission rate

2026 : Currently working on some personal projects and organizing Campfire Cairo (soon)
