I'm obviously not the maintainer on this, but I've worked with it (probably) most recently. I appreciate this a ton, but I think we should try moving away from pollnet for async communication. There's a few libraries that could be used, including some native Lua libs that would also negate the requirement for LuaJIT which is a big issue when this is used for modding, as opposed to making stuff from scratch. |

Hi @sadkris That sounds like a good idea. Though my opinion on this is not worth much since my knowledge about the Lua landscape is very limited. I use buttplug-lua (and Lua for that matter) only in the context of https://github.com/prndev/ultrastardeluxe-buttplug. I am unaware how LuaJIT differs from whatever Lua implementation UltraStar Deluxe is using. Given that UltraStar Deluxe is geared towards Lua 5.1 (released in 2006!), I am surprised that it works at all. 😅 |

Thank you for this client. I made some adjustments to get it to work in newer versions, also I documented which versions I used. Maybe you find this useful as well.
