Summary of Changes

Hello @joshlf, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request addresses a minor bug within the test suite for the zerocopy-derive crate. It specifically fixes an issue where a variable intended for use in a test output message was being ignored, and a static string was used instead, leading to an unused variable warning or incorrect test output. This ensures test output accurately reflects the intended differences.

Highlights

  • Test Bug Fix: Resolved an unused variable compiler warning/error in zerocopy-derive/src/output_tests.rs by correctly using the diff variable instead of a hardcoded string literal in a println! macro.

Code Review

This pull request addresses a bug in the assert_eq_streams test helper function. Previously, the calculated diff was not being used in the panic message, which instead printed the literal string "diff". This change corrects the panic! macro invocation to use the diff variable, ensuring that test failures will now display the actual difference between expected and actual token streams. This is a good fix that improves the utility of the test assertions. The change is correct and well-targeted.
